What We Think

The PS5 still seems to be in short supply. Given the general easing of chip supply, I had half expected things to get get a bit easier, but Amazon is still saying that purchase is by ‘invitation only’.

The combination of a PS5 with a headset should provide a pretty good visual image for consumer VR. Early tests at Sony’s offices has suggested ‘top-notch visual fidelity’ and the images are ‘extremely vivid’. The headset is also really light – partly because it is tethered. IT has eye tracking to allow support for foveated rendering. (BR)
