Prad.de reported on a Chinese company, MScreen, a subsidiary of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Tinno Mobile that is running a Kickstarter campaign for the development of two displays. The first is a 14.1″ 32:9 1920 x 550 resolution IPS panel that is intended to be used in special applications or as a second display underneath a main display. It has 1,200:1 contrast and 400 cd/m² of luminance. Pricing is €136.
A second display is the 8.8″ 1920 x 480 IPS unit that has 800:1but with 800 cd/m² luminance with pricing of €93.
What We Think
I could also imaging the 14.1″ display acting as a separate display in a portrait configuration. (BR)
