What They Say
After LG Electronics revealed new 4,000 cd/m² outdoor-facing displays (LG Creates 4K Nit Signage Displays), high brightness specialist Dynascan said that it would show its own 4,000 cd/m² 65″ LCD and the firm highlighted that its display consumes just 460W at ISE. The company said that this is the result of the system of efficient cooling (fans and heat management), brightness sensors and intelligent energy management.
The firm will also show its DS431LT4 – a 43” shop window display with 2,500 cd/m².
Both displays have integrated Android players.
What We Think
I have always enjoyed meeting with Dynascan which has been usually quite open about what it is doing to boost the brightness of its displays. It has developed its business on the edges of what other have been able to do with LCD. Sadly, I’ll miss them at ISE which conflicts this year with Display Week. (BR)
