LG’s Professional Display division has launched a new 65″ OLED monitor intended for professional video applications. The 65EP5G has brightness(Typ.) of 770 / 430 / 180 cd/m² @D6500 (APL 10% / 25% / 100%) and with programmable 1D and 3D LUTs and multiple colour profiles. Colour coverage is 120% of BT709 and 98.5% of DCI-P3. An unusual specification is for ‘colour viewing angle’ of R/L 120(min), U/D 120(min) (?u’v’ ? 0.025).
Interfaces include HDMI, quad loop-thru SDI (BNC), IP (SFP+ & RJ45). Supported IP formats include ST-2110 and ST-2022-6. Also included is a Genlock input for use in broadcast and virtual production applications.
A variety of user selectable on-screen features for video use are available such as Markers, Zoom, Audio Level Meters, and Waveform & Vector Scopes.

The monitor is rated for 12/7 use, but with ‘moving content only’. (BR)
