What They Say
We reported a link to news about new headsets from Pico, the Neo 3 Pro and the Neo 3 Pro Eye and now more details are available of the displays used. (Spring Brings New Headsets).
The headsets are intended for business use and have a single 5.5″ 3664 x 1920 resolution display (773 ppi) and up to 90Hz refresh. The new version has four cameras instead of two. The Eye version has integrated Tobii gaze tracking. Both are built on the Qualcomm XR2 platform and connect to PCs using DisplayPort and they will support Nvidia’s Direct mode.
The entire Neo 3 family of headsets support NVIDIA CloudXR™, delivering VR wirelessly across 5G and WiFi networks. The two versions will cost $699 and $899 when they arrive in Q3 2021.
What We Think
interesting to see Pico continuing with a single display for both eyes, where the trend seems to be to use individual displays in the professional space. (BR)
