If you are unconvinced about the power of the immersiveness of VR compared with simply watching a screen, it may be worth a listen to a BBC programme, “The Art of Immersion” that looked at the impact of virtual reality and was re-broadcast recently (it was first broadcast in the spring).
Analyst Comment
The programme starts with a description of an experience that Oculus gives to people, where they apparently go up in a lift to the top of a building. Although their intellect knows that they are not at the top of a building, people describe it as very scary. (BR)
