Following its launch in London, the team at Wareable got to play Mario Kart VR and described it as “absolutely freaking mind-meltingly awesome”. The publication’s James Stables remarked, “The action is frantic, intoxicating and so intense. The five-minute drive felt so much longer in-game — which is just as well. Each turn costs £7.99 per player”.
However, motion sickness was an issue, Stables added, saying that the team spent 30 minutes post-game recovering from the experience.

Though I’m no Nintendo fan, nor am I particularly fond of the Mario franchise, I do have a soft spot for Mario Kart. Also, virtual reality has a knack for making me feel horribly disorientated and nauseous, but I can’t say I wouldn’t put that to one side to experience this at least once — it looks and sounds phenomenal!
