NEC Display in the US has two new 27″ FullHD Monitors. The MultiSync E271N and EA271F have DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA connectors and features include low blue light and flicker-free dimming. The stands can adjust in height as well as supporting tilt and rotate.
The EA271F replaces the MultiSync EA273WMi and features hardware calibration with an IPS panel. It also supports NEC’s ControlSync technology. The monitors cost $419 and $569 respectively, according to the press release, but the EA271F is listed at $419 on the company’s website.
The Panasonic 2018 TVs are now shipping in Europe. (Panasonic Fills In Europe LCD TV Line-up). We heard at Infocomm that the TVs are also being shipped in Canada as well as Europe, although they are not being sold in the US (except for professional grading applications).
Shenzen Jingcan Opto-Tec has a new four sided ‘Cube’ display using SMD LEDs. The cabinet is 576mm x 576mm and the overall size is 3.648m(H) x 6.144m(W). The company didn’t release many other details. but did say that the cabinet features a 45º bevel design to allow the sharp corners.
ViewSonic USA has introduced two new FullHD projectors, the PX706HD and PX700HD which are aimed at home entertainment and game playing. The PX706HD has 3,000 Ansi lumens with 16ms latency and an Ultra Short Throw zoom lens with a ratio of 0.69 – 0.83 with throw distances of 0.9m to 2.2m. The single chip DLP unit has a 240W lamp. There is a 5W internal speaker and the inputs include VGA, composite and dual HDMI 1.4 ports as well as audio out. The set sells for $699 and will be available this month.
The PX700HD has more brightness at 3,500 Ansi lumens and has a conventional throw ratio of 1.5:1.65 with a throw distance of 0.7-7.6m. The lamp is a 203W unit and the speaker is a 2W unit. Inputs match the UST version. The PX700HD costs $499 and is available immediately.
