Fraunhofer FEP is planning to show new bidirectional OLED microdisplays in a VR headset at the AWE Europe event in Munich on the 19th and 20th of October. The group has modified an existing headset with the TU Dresden to allow separate content for each eye for 3D. The headsets have HDMI and USB interfaces. The displays used in the current headset are 800 x 600 resolution, but they also include photodiodes alongside the pixels and the Fraunhofer said that it is feasible to use these to track the eyes of the wearer
