BT has said that it will broadcast the UEFA Champions League final in a number of 360°streams on YouTube and the new BT Sport Virtual Reality App, allowing viewers to choose between a 360°produced programme with commentary and graphics, or select their own camera viewpoint. BT Sport is the host broadcaster for the clash between Real Madrid and Juventus on June 3rd, from Cardiff’s National Stadium of Wales.
BT said that the programmes will also be made widely available for free viewing and will be available in UHD with Dolby Atmos. The company has exclusivity on the Champions League and Europa League until at least 2020/2021.
