Yahoo Finance has shown an image said to be of Fitbit’s first smartwatch, code-named ‘Higgs’. The display is rumoured to have 1,000 cd/m² of output. The design has echoes of the current Fitbit Blaze activity tracker and the rumours said that the launch has been delayed by challenges in waterproofing.
Fitbit is also planning to release some Bluetooth headphones.

Analyst Comment
As you can see from the financial report in this issue (Fitbit Result 05/05/2017), Fitbit is struggling to achieve growth and has said in the past that it sees smartwatches as the way forward. (BR)
