HKLA Studio, based in Los Angeles has announced a kickstarter campaign for the ‘Okularion’, a stand-alone wireless mixed reality (virtual reality and augmented reality) headset that is expected to retail at less than $300 ($200 for supporters) and $450 for the pro version. The headset is expected to be DayDream compliant and will be supplied with a Unity licence for development. The price includes two controllers that runs on bluetooth. Specifications feature:

Analyst Comment
This seems like an optimistic price and time line for the system as described. That may be what others think as the project was a long way behind the target of pledges at press time.
