Analogix Semiconductor, Inc. today announced its collaboration with MediaTek Inc., combining MediaTek’s advanced, feature-rich System-on-Chip (SoC) and Analogix’s DisplayPort™ technology for best-in-class multimedia solutions.
“Analogix is excited to combine our industry’s most proven DisplayPort technology with MediaTek’s best-in-class display processing,” said Michael Ching, vice president for Analogix. “There is an ever-expanding range of products and applications that require high-performance video out, best delivered using DisplayPort.”
Analogix offers a wide variety of integrated circuits (ICs) and intellectual property (IP) core solutions with support for VESA’s DisplayPort standard up to the latest version DisplayPort 1.4 providing:
- High-Performance Video and Audio for resolutions up to 8K;
- Display Stream Compression (DSC 1.2) for interoperable, visually lossless compression over display links;
- High Definition Content Protection (HDCP 2.2) for an enhanced resolution, frame-rate and digital rights management that content providers require.
The Analogix DisplayPort technology has shipped into over 1 billion System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions for multiple applications, from mobile devices and head-mounted-displays, to monitors, HDTVs, and media players.
