Global sales of semiconductors went up 2.6% MoM to $27.1 billion in July, according to the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), but were down 2.8% YoY. It was the largest monthly rise since September 2015 with all of the regional markets seeing an upturn – the Americas 3.3%, China 3.2%, Japan 3.1%, the rest of Asia Pacific 1.8% and Europe 0.7%. However, only China saw an increase YoY.
