Distributor Avnet has agreed on a cash offer of €2.24 per share, worth €836 million, to buy Leeds, UK-based Premier Farnell, the maker of Raspberry Pi and an established component distributor in the UK. The transaction still has to be validated by shareholders and obtain legal and regulatory approval.
