HP has begun to ship its Spectre x360 convertible OLED laptop (Digital Experience Has Lots to See). It is 13.3″ and weighs 50g less than the LCD model. Prices start at $1,500. Reviews of the shipping product have, so far, been positive about the display and the system.

HTC has launched a commercial version of its Vive VR headset, adding specialised services and the option to buy in large quantities. The Vive Business Edition costs $1,200 and is supplied with commercial licensing; a dedicated customer support line; and 12-month warranty. The headset, two controllers, two base stations, cables and face cushions are included in the bundle. HTC will launch the Vive BE in the USA, Canada, UK, France and Germany this month. A global rollout will follow.

Automotive supplier Kenwood has released a dashcam for the North American market, with a 1.5″ LCD screen. The DRV-410 ($250) records in 2304 x 1296 resolution, with HDR processing. A built-in shock sensor will turn the camera on immediately following an impact when the car is parked. Incident locations are stored using the inbuilt GPS, and recordings are stored on an SD card (up to 32GB).

Meizu has released an updated version of its low-cost M3 smartphone (Meizu Addresses Entry-Level) in China. The M3S has a metallic chassis and a fingerprint reader, which will recognise prints in 0.2 seconds. It is available now, starting at CNY580 ($90).
