DisplayLink’s USB docking stations and adapters now work with Google’s Chrome OS (Release 51 and onwards). No driver is required. This means that an external DisplayLink-compatible display or adaptor/docking station with single or multple displays can be used directly with a Chromebook (if it has the right version). The firm said that Dell and HP will support DisplayLink from Release 51, with more OEMs to come.

DisplayLink highlighted that this means that it can now support Windows or MacOS PCs as well as Chromebooks which allows hot desking and use in hotels or other public places, to allow the connection of PCs via USB. (BR)
