PlayStation Plus, Sony’s subscription gaming service, is a multi-tiered service that I won’t pretend to understand or care about, but part of its appeal to gamers is being able to go online and carp about which tier works and which doesn’t, and why. One tier, PlayStation Plus Premium members, should be happy to know that Sony is currently testing cloud streaming for certain PS5 games – this includes PS5 titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Game Trials, as well as supported digital PS5 titles that players own.
In a blog post by a company VP, cloud game streaming will be available for the PS5 directly which means Sony is going to be adding cloud streaming capability for PS5 titles in addition to the PS3, PS4 and classic titles that are already available.
