Dutch 3D specialist, Dimenco, has been acquired by film specialist, Beijing Kangde Xin Composite Material Co., Ltd., (KDX) located in Bejing Zhongguancun Science Park Changping Park. Dimenco started as a spin-off from Philips in 2010 to exploit Philips’ work in autostereoscopic 3D. The firm employs 19 people.
The acquisiton follows on from a technology licence agreement between the companies last year.
“We consider Dimenco as the leading technology company in Glasses-Free 3D. Therefore this acquisition contributes directly to our development capabilities and enables us to further increase our position in this market,” said Mrs. Xu, CEO of Kangde Xin Composite.
Dimenco and K3DX will also exhibit together at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 6 – 10, 2016, Booth 51021.
