At BETT, Casio was launching the Core – a new laser-LED hybrid projector that is positioned for mass-market adoption.
As a solid-state model, the Core has a long lifetime, with no filters or lamps to be changed. Power consumption is also lower than lamp-based models. The projector can be turned on and off in around eight seconds.
Throw ratio is 1.5 – 1.7:1, with 1024 x 768 resolution and 2,700 lumens of brightness. The Core features HDMI and VGA ports and will be launched in April, for £375 ($560) ex VAT.
