A new 7″ Kyocera display module, the TCG070WVLR*PC*-GD*118, is the company’s first with an on-cell procap touch panel. The touch panel cover glass, touch sensor and controller are all integrated into the module, resulting in higher light transmission.
Because on-cell touch is used, the dimensions of the module are smaller than traditional units. It measures 170 x 9.2 x 110mm. Contrast, at 650:1, is also said to be improved due to a reduction in air gaps. Operating temperature is between -20 deg and 70 deg .
The TCG070WVLR*PC*-GD*118 has 800 x 600 resolution and 350 cd/m² of brightness. Viewing angles are 170 deg and response time is 12-18ms. An LVDS interface is featured.
