UK-based touch specialist, Zytronic has invested £1 million ($1.5 million) to raise its manufacturing capacity, with a focus on ultra large format touch senses for digital signage, tablet surfaces and similar applications.
A 25% increase in the total ISO 5 (Class 100) cleanroom area, at Zytronic’s Newcastle (UK) site, was the largest investment. The expansion increases total manufacturing floor area to almost 930m². Zytronic added five new direct-write electrode machines and a new automated laminator, to increase throughout of large touch sensors (up to 65″).
