Zeon of Japan is reported to be developing a planarisation film for helping with the sealing of flexible OLEDs and is designed to be used between barrier films. Volume production is forecast for the end of 2018. The film is claimed to have superior resistance to moisture and be better in adhering to metal and glass surfaces.
The company already makes contrast enhancement retarder films for OLEDs.
Zeon set up a new office Zeon Specialty Materials,Inc.(ZSM) in San Jose that was established in August this year.
