Media Broadcast was the sole applicant to operate a future DVB-T2 platform in Germany. ZAK, the media authorities’ licensing commission, will now examine whether the framework conditions set in the tender have been met and the capacities can be allocated to Media Broadcast, with a decision to be made in mid-March. A transition from the existing DVB-T platform to -T2 will begin in early 2016 and be completed in 2019.
