China-based Apple wannabe, Xiaomi, has new AR glasses in a series that it is calling Mijia (a name also used for other products). There is a single display and dual cameras (50mp + 8mp periscope). The display is a microOLED from Sony with 3,281 ppi and up to 3,000 cd/m² of luminance. A Qualcomm 8 core processor is used with a 1,020 mAh battery that can charge to 80% in 30 minutes.
There’s a short video in Chinese here although there is no shot of the display output. They will cost around $400 and are being launched by crowdfunding, according to msn.com.
What We Think
The lack of information about the display is frustrating, but I think we can assume that what it does is minimal, otherwise Xiaomi would be shouting about it! (BR)
