Customers in Germany that have signed up for the Vodafone HD premium package for the recently launched GigaTV 4K platform, are now able to access the new season’s first episodes of TV series “Power” on demand in Ultra HD. This is being shown in collaboration with Sony’s action and entertainment channel, AXN. Further episodes of the series will also be available in Ultra HD.
Carsten Fink, vice president German-speaking Europe of Sony Pictures Television Networks, stated that AXN is the first platform-independent pay-TV channel in Germany to present a US premium cable show in Ultra HD.
Vodafone Deutschland offers AXN as part of its subscription package together with around another 20 pay-TV channels.
