Vivitek’s Laser Module Brings Touch to Education

Vivitek’s newest education projector, the 1DLP D755WTIR, is the first to offer compatibility with the company’s DT01 ‘laser curtain’ module. The module enables interactivity (up to 10-point touch) with the projected image. Two IR pens can also be supported. Vivitek supplies the projector with the ‘Novoteach’ interactive whiteboard software.

Compatibility with Crestron Roomview, Extron, AMX and Telnet solutions enable the projector to be integrated into a network. It can then be monitored and managed remotely. 3D projection is supported.

Resolution is 1280 x 800., with a 5,000:1 contrast ratio and ultra-short throw distance. The D755WTIR can project an 80″ – 100″ image from about 0.3m (0.35:1 throw ratio). A 230W lamp is used, lasting between 5,000 and 10,000 hours and providing up to 3,300 lumens of brightness.

Lens shift (120 deg ) and keystone correction (+/-40 deg , vertical) are built in. The projector has two 10W speakers and features HDMI, VGA, composite, S-Video, USB-A, mini-USB-B, USB-B, RJ45 and RS232 inputs. It measures 288 x 375 x 123mm and weighs 5kg.
