BePooler of Switzerland has set up a system for reserving free parking systems for commuters that use the company’s Park and Ride scheme, which helps those that want to share cars on their commute. The system uses displays supplied by Visionect and using E Ink technology. The signs show the registration numbers of cars that are authorised to use the parking spaces. The displays were chosen as they are visible in bright light and have a minimum power requirement. The project is developing in Switzerland and Italy and is looking to develop into France.
