Visbit Launches Premium Playback Service Across VR/XR Headsets

Visbit, a VR video transmission and playback technology company, released its Premium Playback Service, which it says offers a private content distribution solution with up to 8K 3D quality playback capability, synchronised playback control and improved rendering sharpness.

The company has also expanded its platform coverage from the first standalone VR headset, HTC Vive Focus, to most standalone and mobile VR headsets, as well as ODG R-9 Smartglasses, an extended reality (XR) tether-free headset.

Synchronised playback control enables VR business owners provide a theatre-like VR experience to their customers. Using the Visbit Theatre Manager iPad app as the central control tool, users can manage multiple VR headsets to synchronously play a list of videos via Visbit Premium Player. All devices are connected via local Wi-Fi and the system can support hundreds of headsets simultaneously, the company said.

Additionally, Visbit has added VR180 support, video auto looping and custom branding options. The company has also published its pricing for the service. Interested users can check it out here. Those who register before September 14th can receive a two-month free trial including two licenses and five minutes 8K transcoding.
