The SID’s Bay Area Chapter is holding a webinar on Wednesday, April 13th, at 6:00 PM PST, when Kelly Peng, CEO, CTO, and Founder of Kura Technologies will discuss the Kura Gallium. The glasses are claimed to have a 150° field of view, 95% transparency, 8K resolution, high brightness and a compact form factor. This ultra-high performance is achieved by using a unique architecture with fully customized components, the firm said, including customized micro-LED displays, ASICs, optics, and software systems.
It said that it already has a waitlist of 100K on order

I have registered for this event, although I won’t be attending live as it starts at 2.00am UK time! I hope I will be able to see it on catch up to bring more information. If the time zone is better for you, registration is free.
As I pointed out last year, the claims from Kura are very high, so it will be interesting to see how the firm is able to deal with questions from a sophisticated audience. (Is Kura Too Good to be True?) (BR)
