UK MPs Choose Apple

Every MP in the UK – all 650 of them – will be given an iPad Air 2 after the General Election in May. The plan will cost around £200,000 ($300,000) a year – although the House of Commons Commission claims that it will save as much as £3 million ($4.5 million) in printing costs. iPads were chosen because of the familiarity that the Parliamentary ICT department has with iOS, although the Opposition has raised concerns about security when all MPs use a single platform.
