Futuresource Consulting has said in a report published by 4K.com that 8.4 million UltraHD Blu-ray disks will be sold in 2017, representing just 4% of all disc sales during the year and a very limited volume.
Analyst Comment
This is a low number for a good quality format, but reflects that there are just 110 titles currently on the market (according to the blog) from just a small number of studios.
