TVP, the Polish public broadcaster, is to trial an UltraHD test transmission over HbbTV this month. A signal will be sent over the internet to the PIKE conference in Lodz, between 6th and 9th October. Wieslaw Lodzikowski, the head of TVP Technology, told Wirtualne Media that TVP has no plans to broadcast in UltraHD via DTT, due to insufficient multiplex capacity. However, it may do so over the internet.
