What They Say
Trilite, a developer of microprojectors for AR headsets (Micro Projector Developer TriLite raises €8M to Boost ARVR Glasses aims), said that it would show its ‘smallest’ laser beam scanner engine at SPIE Photonics this week. The device needs no relay optics and has a volume of less than 1 cm³ and weight of 1.5 gms. The device uses a MEMS 2D mirror from Infineon. Trilite has its own software to provide eal-time correction of lens errors, distortions, and color shifts (true tone).
What We Think
Apologies, I missed this last week, but there is still one day to see this in the firm’s private suite at SPIE Photonics. (BR)
