Tracking Audiences With AT&T

AT&T is trialling a new audience demographics tracker with Clear Channel in the USA. Using the AT&T Data Patterns – Out of Home Media tool, advertisers can track footfall and stats such as average age, genders and ethnicity. It will also measure response to adverts. The system works by tracking the location of AT&T’s mobile phone customers; the viewing habits of its TV customers; and the devices that log on to its in-store WiFi networks.
