TP Vision, the company known for designing, manufacturing, and selling Philips TV, Philips Sound, and AOC Audio products, has announced a significant partnership with global football titan, FC Barcelona. The new collaboration kicks off on May 28th, with the Ambilight TV logo appearing on the sleeve of the men’s first team football shirt for the final matches of the 2022/23 season. Inside the stadium and for viewers at home, Ambilight TV will be prominently displayed, with key players from the men’s and women’s first team football squads invited to experience the product range first hand.
TP Vision will also have a significant role as the TV and display provider for the audiovisual infrastructure of the new Spotify Camp Nou, slated to become Europe’s largest and most innovative sports venue. Solutions provided will include Philips digital signage and outdoor LED, via TP Vision’s professional display arm, PPDS.
Philips Ambilight TV’s technology uses integrated coloured LEDs in strips along the TV’s rear edges to project a dynamic halo of light that matches the on-screen image, onto the wall behind the TV. This results in the impression of an extended, floating TV image.
