Toshiba has begun legal action against five former executives, including ex-CEO Hisao Tinaka. The firm says that an investigation committee, led by ‘outside legal experts’, found that the five had been negligent in their duty, which led to the accounting irregularities earlier this year (Toshiba CEO Resigns Over Accounting Scandal). Toshiba is now seeking damages of ¥300 million ($2.4 million).
