TI Processors Use Arm + PowerVR

Texas Instruments has introduced the AM437x ‘Sitara’ processor series which can be used for a range of applications including digital signage and automation. The processors are based on Arm Cortex-A9 cores with a PowerVR SGX530 GPU for 3D graphics support up to 2048 x 2048 resolution.

The processors can be used with OSes including Linux and the chip has an integrated ADC that can be used to support an integrated touch solution. There are single or dual camera ports and cryptographic acceleration is available in every device. Secure boot is available only on AM437xHS devices for anticloning and illegal software update protection.
