Texas Instruments has developed a new evaluation module (EVM) and pico display chipset, which can be used to generate 1920 x 1080 images. The DLP Lightcrafter 4710 EVM is designed for use with the 0.47″ TRP chipset.
Example applications include screenless TVs, interactive displays, mobile projectors, wearables and digital signage. The EVM features a mini-HDMI interface for plug-and-play functionality, and real-time chipset evaluation, using a USB-based GUI. A reference design is available at http://tinyurl.com/o5rg5gs.
