This Prototype VR Controller Can Shift Its Weight to Match Virtual Objects

By Andrew Fenn

Spanish VR developer Manuel Rosado has created a prototype controller, dubbed “Nyoibo”, which is capable of redistributing its own weight and creating haptic feedback via a series of interconnected servos, weights and motors, to more accurately represent the held object within a game. Rosado is also working on a similar prototype for Oculus Touch controllers.

Take a look at this video, which Rosado posted to YouTube in September of last year, showing the prototype in action.
