What They Say
There is a new AR experience called ‘The Green Planet AR Experience’ that is due to open on February 11th in London. The event was reated by Factory 42 with BBC Studios, and inspired by the Natural History Unit landmark series and exploits EE’s 5G service.
Visitors to the free to attend experience in London will travel through five digitally enhanced biomes – including rainforests, fresh water and saltwater worlds, the changing seasons and desert landscapes culminating in the human story and how we can all affect positive change. The experience will take place at 55 Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, London.
David Attenborough in ‘holographic’ form will accompany visitors with useful prompts showing guests where to point their devices to see all of the augmented reality plant and animal life in all its glory, as well as offering insights on the plant life on display.
(Tickets were free but were quickly ‘sold out’)
What We Think
The visitors are being given a Samsung S21 5G Mobile Phone and a pair of over-ear headphones to use throughout the experience and private devices cannot be used. (BR)
