Director Christopher Nolan has remastered seven of his films in Ultra HD and HDR, for a special Blu-ray box set.
The Christopher Nolan Collection is released on UHD Blu-ray disc on December 19th, and will be available to stream online a week earlier from the 12th. The collection includes:
- Batman Begins
- Batman: The Dark Knight
- Batman: The Dark Knight Rises
- The Prestige
- Inception
- Interstellar
- Dunkirk
According to blu-ray.com, the remasters were produced in HDR10 and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1. In the official press release, Nolan said:
“4K Ultra HD with HDR is an incredibly exciting new home video format that allows a much closer recreation of viewing the original film print. The deeper color palette comes closer to matching the analogue colors of film and we’ve restored the original theatrical mixes for this release. If you can’t rewatch these films in the theater, this is the best experience you can have in your own home.“
