TCL expects to meet its 40 million-unit smartphone shipment target this year, following the ramp of monthly shipments to over 8 million units in October. Shipments have also risen to Europe, Africa, Latin America and Russia. Total smartphone shipments passed 36 million in the January – November period, while total handset shipments rose 32% YoY, to 64.92 million. TCL has predicted that handset shipments will exceed 65 million in 2014.
