Chinese website Weixin.qq.com reporter that TCL Huaxing has said that it has developed LTPO technology that can cover a range of 1 to 144Hz refresh. It has also developed MLP (Micro Lens Panel) technology to boost display brightness. The firm believes that a combination of these two technologies can reduce power consumption by as much as 30%. TCL also said that it has a low refresh LTPS technology to bring refresh below 30Hz.
The company has also developed polariser-free OLEDs which it calls PLP technology. The firm’s T4 production line will have capacity for 15K LTPO substrates per month.
