TCL in the US has decided to cancel the 50″ and 65″ versions of its P series TVs, although it will continue to offer the 55″, although the company has not given a clear reason for the decision, which has disappointed reviewers that have approved of the full array dimming and high contrast combined with Roku TV, Dolby Vision support and competitive prices.

Perhaps the pricing was “too” competitive for a product of this quality, so profit wasn’t possible. Still, it’s strange to see a brand cancel popular products. In its early years, in particular, Samsung used this kind of ‘hero’ product to help establish its brand reputation. (BR)
