What They Say
Digitimes Research reported that Taiwan PC monitor shipments in Q3 2021 were up 4.6% on Q2. The total was down 6.5% year on year to 23.18 million in Q3. 21.x- and 23.x-inch monitors were up in the third quarter, while 24.x volumes slipped (although larger sizes are expected to keep growing in the longer term). The firm expects that the market will increase by 5% in Q4 as chip and component shortages get better.
Over the year, the firm said that there should be a 1.4% year on year increase, but with global volumes up 6.8% after fierce competition between Chinese & Korean makers.
