Super Plastronics Ramping Up TV Production
Super Plastronics manufactures TVs under brands like Kodak, Thomson, and Blaupunkt in India, and we have already discussed how the company is establishing a new television manufacturing plant in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. The company plans to invest ₹300 crore ($36 million) initially and aims to begin operations at the plant before the end of this year. Super Plastronics intends to produce one million televisions made in India in the next financial year, primarily focusing on TVs of 40 inches and above, although this new Kodak line also includes a 32-inch model.
Additionally, the company is exploring export opportunities, particularly in markets such as South America. It is in discussions with its brand partners for potential expansion into new markets and expects to generate TV sales revenues of ₹800-900 crore ($97-109 million) by the end of its 2023 financial year.
