Spanish pay-TV saw an 18.5% YoY increase in sales in 2015 with revenue reaching over €2 billion, according to a report from Spain’s telecom authority, with the number of subscribers rising to 5.6 million. The report cited company mergers and technology convergence as contributing factors. 3.2 million subscribers access services through FTTH, up 51% YoY, while IPTV access almost doubled, bringing in turnover of €619 million. The overall telco market came to €30.8 billion, with AV contributing €4.2 billion, up 11.5%.
