Sony Unveils New 4K HDR Professional Monitor for Critical Evaluation and Color Grading

Sony Electronics has unveiled a new 30.5-inch 4K HDR professional monitor called the BVM-HX3110, aimed at critical evaluation, color grading, live production, and post-production. It features a Sony-designed dual layer anti-reflection LCD panel and proprietary signal processing, supporting a high peak luminance of up to 4000 cd/m² while preserving deep blacks.

The monitor offers a range of features such as an IP interface for enhanced flexibility, a wider viewing angle, and a new standard toolset including Waveform Monitor/Vector Scope, false color, focus assist, and closed captioning. The BVM-HX3110 is set to be released in November 2023, with a prototype on display at NAB Show 2023 from April 16-19. Sony is also planning to release the LMD-A180, an 18.4-inch HD HDR high-grade picture monitor with a wide color gamut, in the fall of 2023.
