Sony continued with its continued reveals of the next PlayStation VR2 headset in a blog post. The headset will have a ‘single cord set-up’ and has an ‘orb’ look to match the controllers. There will be inside-out camera tracking and the headset is designed with vents to help to ventilate the unit and prevent lens fogging. The headset will have adjustment for IPD. Despite the motor for haptic feedback, the unit will be smaller than the current design.
No pricing or release date has been given, yet.
What We Think
The more that Sony releases about this product, the sooner it needs to launch it, I think. I realised recently that the VR devices I have here haven’t been used for some time now, but the image quality that the VR2 should have, with its dual high res OLEDs might even attract me back to the category – and I really should upgrade my console. For family visitors, of course 😉 (BR)
